According to this article, the Tar Heels' game plan was: Make someone other than Griffin beat them.
Every time during the Sunday's South Regional final, he touched the ball North Carolina defenders doubled him.

"It was a little frustrating for him because we were making him do something that he didn't want to do," North Carolina senior forward Danny Green said. "We were making it uncomfortable for him, doubling him as soon as he got the ball."

"Blake has got to get extra attention. So that's what we tried to do," said North Carolina coach Roy Williams.
"In practice, we basically decided we were going to double (Griffin) on the first pass once he gets the ball," said Tar Heels junior point guard Ty Lawson. "So every time they passed it to him, I just went down and doubled and tried to get the ball out of his hands and make another one of his teammates create something or score."
"When we watched tape, a lot of players on their team don't create or anything like that. So we got it out of his hands, and once we did that, I just looked to see who was the open person because we also worked on rotating. I just got to that person, tried to close out and made sure they didn't drive to the basket."

Three Reasons Why UNC Will Beat Villanova

To sum up: experience, Tyler Hansbrough unleashed and it’s just like playing Duke. I think the experience factor will be crucial as Giglio points out: There’s a big difference between just being happy to be there, which was the case last year, and trying to win the whole thing. Also, UNC has already played at Ford Field, and had a successful experience there. ...

Another Reason Why UNC Basketball Is Rolling

Behind the coaches and players. In discussing UNC basketball we spend a majority of the time assigning blame and credit to the players and coaches for everything that goes on during the games. One vital piece of UNC’s program that has really only come to light his season is the work of stength and conditioning coach Jonas Sahratain. Besides all of the duties his title implies...

Roy Williams and pretty much the whole team met with the media today. Who knows if they had time to practice when they were done considering how long it took. Allow me to give you the highlights.
