Found November 17, 2008 on Bust A Bucket:
It may not happen immediately Monday morning. It just might take a few days. But sooner, rather than later, the nation is going to take a look at Greg Oden's stats this past weekend and do a complete 180 on their Greg-Oden-is-Sam-Bowie-type of comments. I'm quite certain that tomorrow, the ...

I'll bet you that, Andris Biedrins, WILL continue his 17 consecutive double-double streak (continued from last season) against the Trailblazers come this Tuesday. Przybilla nor Oden will stop him.

Name the terms of the bet, and I'll accept.

    Warriors, Yadada!
    • nate77
      Biedrens 17 pts 9 rebs

ODEN! 22 pts 10 rebs (off the bench)

Wrong again gee. It comes from right here in our backyards or from Washington.
  • BisforBlazers
We shall see about Biedrins. As for GO, he's only going to get better. He's not even in game shape yet!
    • jus10gee
      Placard_complete_small
I'm sure, Greg, will get better. The guy is a beast! But, as for this Tuesday, he's not going to stop AB from getting a double-double.
      • BisforBlazers
        I'll give you that.

exactly. Who gives a crap about one player getting a double double? The Blazers are going to win the game and thats what matters, not one players stats.

Not if I have anything to say about it!! LOL! I will be in the house can't WAIT to see this guy in action. I went to summer league mainly to get a glimpse of him and he wasn't there. This will be the 1st time I get a look at him in person.
I'm gonna have to boo him though. Sorry guys. W's to the bone!

        No excuses.

I even have love for Oden. I just hope he doesn't prove the title of this article is true... just HYPE.
      • Lakerhater
She is way too FAT for a snack even for big G.O.!!!!!!!!!!
  • boo him all you want. He is going to send your skinny rat boy beavis or biedris whatever his name is shot into the 5th row and he is going to send all your fans home wondering what just hit them.

      Placard_complete_small
      DRAFTODEN,

Andris Biedrins is too quick for Oden. His footwork and wide-receiver like hands will prove no match against Oden. He is out of shape and averages 8+ fouls per 48 minutes.

      Keegs,

      "Nelly's stomach?" ????
      • jus10gee
        Placard_complete_small
["No match," as in Oden will not be able to defend. Look what Al Jefferson did against him.]

Draftoden put " They will be wondering what just hit them" I put "Nelly's stomach" but GSWGirl wrote before me. Anyway, Im not calling this one again, I lost a bet last time with GSWGirl, dont want to lose it again.

          Placard_complete_small
I guess that's why you didn't respond to my article, Keegan?
Either way it is going to be off the hook! I am so excited!
  • masterchad10
In two games versus the Blazers Al Jefferson had 5 and 6 rebounds, respectively. The rest of his games have been double digit boards besides one 9 rebound game. Biedrins hasn't really played against a real big center.
    • jus10gee
      Placard_complete_small
And Oden isn't a real big center, yet.
    • jus10gee
      Placard_complete_small
And if Tyson Chandler, Chris Kaman, Rasheed Wallace, Brad Miller, Jermaine O'neal, and Al Jefferson aren't real centers, then you lack credibilty, son!
      • masterchad10
Chandler is a decent sized center, but Kaman has been a little weak this year, Rasheed and Brad miller play away from the hoop and Al and Jermaine are true power forwards. My point is that Biedrins has not had to deal with Shaq, Dwight Howard, Yao, Bosh, Bynum or ODEN & PRZYBILLA. It's so on tonight.
        • jus10gee
          Placard_complete_small
First of all, Bosh is on the same team as JERMAINE O'NEAL!!

Secondly, if you're putting Oden and Przybilla in the same category as whom you've listed, than you're worse than I thought and you should seek some help. Even your fellow Blazers fans would have to agree with me.

Oden has the potential to get to Dwight and Shaq's level, but is no where close. And Przybilla?? Come on!

I can't argue with someone who has no idea what he/she is talking about. Your knowledge of basketball ball is that of a 7 year olds.

And how could Rasheed and Brad Miller play away from the rim, WHEN THEY'RE GUARDING BEIDRINS IN THE PAINT?!?
      • masterchad10
Oden and Prz can take on Biedrins, but so far, it's gonna be close. You need to chill anyway, Jermaine plays center, but Bosh is a beast. I never said Oden is Dwight or Shaq, just the same "largeness.
      • masterchad10
Well you got your win, I proved my point. We'll see you again in January. How'd Oden look? I'll read your take tomorrow.
        • jus10gee
          Placard_complete_small
Oden looked great! 30 minutes off the bench 20/10... But, that's not saying much. Average centers always do well against us... Just look at Marc Gasol.
  • nate77
Just wait a couple more months until Oden is 100% healthy again and has gotten used to the NBA game. The rest of the league is in trouble is all I have to say. He's already showing signs of how good he's going to be and he's only going to get better as he gets healthy. I don't see anybody that will be able to match up with him (especially Biedrens!). RIP CITY is back!!!!
  • Greg Oden is a good player. Unfortunately, he has the "brittle bone" curse. Years from now, you can compare his career to Bob McAdoo, Sam Bowie, Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill,......all good players but tends to be in the injured reserve list.
  • BigRandy
    Placard_complete_small
Oh yeah I can feel the love in the yard!!!! You already know what's gonna happen tonight warrior fans you just can't cop to it. Oden will look delicious in his 25 minutes Rudy will be sicker than sick and Roy is gonna turn the lights out on ya and send you home in the dark with no streamers coming down upon your heads. GO BLAZERS!!!!!

haha knew we'd see you on here gloating. the funny part about it is that you were predicting a biedrins double double, yet he didn't, and you still crow. makes you look kinda silly. warriors looked good, though (thanks to the whistle blowers).
      • jus10gee
        Placard_complete_small
What I said was Greg nor Przy will stop him from getting the double-double. They didn't stop him, minutes played did.

P.S. Wow, one rebound. All good, we got the "W"! Yee! Yaaaaagh!
        • BigRandy
          Placard_complete_small
That's just a big fat excuse, your boys string of double doubles is over boo fricken hoo. He got prevented from achieving it by the Blazers, period!

Seeing a tear roll down Lamarcus Aldridge's big nose more than made up for it. Plus, we got the win!

I don't understand why you guys are still trying to talk, hahaha.
        • masterchad10
Honestly, we don't understand why you're talking. Enjoy the win, the opening for Warrior playoff presence is closing. Well, it's closed this year already.

='(... When all else fails, blame the referee.
    • masterchad10
10gee. you saw the replay. FOUL ON MORROW.
      • jus10gee
        Placard_complete_small
I saw the line violation, the Rudy tech, the numerous Blazers offensive fouls, and the 69% shooting from the line.

But, I guess you want to blame your loss on the referee who called a foul on Rudy instead of Morrow. Man up.
        • masterchad10
I accept the loss, and I understand that we played bad enough to lose. It doesn't change the fact that Maggette flops, LaMarcus fouled out on a terrible call where he was obviously a foot outside the restricted area and Rudy got a T because he was screwed on the call and the game was ended by the ref. Terrible way to WIN, terrible way to LOSE. But I guess your team will take it with losses to Memphis, Sac and whoever else roams the bottom of the NBA standings.
        • jus10gee
          Placard_complete_small
You're contradicting yourself. You said, "we played bad enough to lose." Followed by insinuating that the ref decided the game.

Blaming the ref's, for winning/losing the game, is such a p*ssy move. Especially when the team you're defending turned it over 21 times (22 pts), collectively shot 69% from the charity stripe, had 32 personal fouls, Rudy made a rookie mistake (got a tech. at the wrong time), Trout's obvious line violation, and shot 30% from the field in the third quarter.

But, nooooo, it's the refs fault because the Trailblazers never lose...

And on top of that, we didn't even have Monta! Our franchise player. (Just a little salt on your open cut.)

        • masterchad10
Be realistic for a change. Admit that Rudy got fouled by Morrow. I'm saying the Blazers played bad and there was bad officiating. I'm not blaming anyone.

Thanks again for the stats by the way, I had no idea. But feel free to post them again, I know what happened.

Monta Ellis, your franchise player, who crashed a moped and may be out the whole season? Nice dude. I'm so excited for you. PS I really don't like your team, rat ball extraordinaire's, Ronny is your only good guy.

          Placard_complete_small
P.S. I watched the whole game again yesterday, and Rudy held/hugged Morrow before the ball was thrown in... That's where the foul occurred, smart guy.
        • masterchad10
Time for a rematch. I didn't blame the refs, we had a bad night. Just be happy you didn't get us last night.
        • jus10gee
          Placard_complete_small
Indeed. What the hell did you guys put in the Chicago locker room? That was murder. Almost doubled their own score.

I'm actually scared for the Dubs to play you guys in the Rose Gizzle. But, none-the-less, should be a good game. Hopefully, Monta, will be in the line-up.
  • BigRandy
    Placard_complete_small
Turnovers did the Blazers in last night but the refs didn't help. NO EXCUSES!!! We'll get another crack atchya, see ya then.

All gloating aside - I must say that the Blazers fans at the game last night were far and away classier than the Detroit fans from the last game.
  • see you at the rose garden!! I cant wait
  • were the bulls going show up for the game, what a shame the fans payed to see two teams play, and oden is killin them on the boards.
  • r1chual
Give him time I think he's going to be good. I look forward to Bynum vs. Oden matchups for the next 10 years it's going to be great
  • O DONE is a BUST. PERIOD. He is slow on screens for the pick n roll. He cannot defend. He fouls out quicker than anybody I ever seen. He is regressing horribly. He missed parts of his senior year in high school, part of freshman year in college, whole season rookie year, and does this? He is lazy. He looks like he hates playing. My city is stupid. Fell in love with another big man whois a BUST. Sam Bowie at least played hard while he could!
  • Vestintraining
Greg is not a bust! He will be one of the greatest defensive players of all-time in the NBA. A big man's game takes longer to develop then a guard or a forward. His game will blossom and all the haters will have to open their mouths wide when they have to eat all of their words. Go BLAZERS and Go ODEN!
