Vance Walberg resigns from Pepperdine after getting blown out by Gonzaga
Pepperdine's experiment with head coach Vance Walberg's unique playing style has ended today, as the former Clovis West High School and Fresno City coach resigned amid "family issues". His style of play is all about full court pressure and giving up a lot of points while running a dribble penetration and kick out three offensive attack, but it can't work on the D-I level because there are too many good ball handlers to break the press. This all culminated in the blowout by Gonzaga on Monday night. Happy trails Walberg.
