Villanova Jobbed? Not So Much

so, how many times during that game did they let the same kind of foul go uncalled? these teams were all over each other the whole night and to make such a benign call in the closing seconds is pathetic and it reeks of the referees trying to be bigger than the game.

I have a policy of not complaining about officiating, even when it's my alma matter. Bad calls happen; it's part of life. But I will say this because I know the guys over at ECB are ACC fans. In the Big East, they usually don't call fouls like that. The Big East usually lets you throw some elbows and draw some blood before the whistles are blown. Tough loss for Villanova but they'll be back. Not this year, though, but they'll be back.

Side note: I hear Villanova freshman Malcolm Grant may transfer.

It's true, the ACC refs call some pretty cheap fouls.

They don't want Coach K et al in their ears the whole game.

They didn't need to call that foul at that juncture of the game, although there was contact, but it was kind of incidental. Now, Rutgers women? They GOT jobbed.

So if he didnt mean to foul the person you should not call the foul>????

The "foul" happened with .1 second left, a good 80' from the basket - shold have been a no call. PS - the hometown refs let Gtown get away with the same "foul" earlier in the game, no call.
