PLAYERS: Dee Davis
At times, a dominating performance. We saw the difference between a well coached team (who I will refer to as "Xavier") and a team that was content on chucking up threes for much of the game. But X kept pushing the ball inside and taking the ball to the hoop. Georgia kept firing up threes. When I watched Geogia's style of play, it makes me appreciate even more that we have a very good coach. That said, Xavier's defense was just suffocating for about 35 minutes. Georgia may have been taking some bad shots, but X's defense had something to do with that. X played tough D most of the night. X had good ball movement on offense. At halftime, rebounding was 18-17 Xavier. The next time I looked, X was up about 33-20. They dominated the boards in the first part of the second half.
