Via ACC Now:
The final tally:
In the draft
G Jeff Teague, Wake Forest
F James Johnson, Wake Forest
G Gerald Henderson, Duke
G Wayne Ellington, UNC
G Ty Lawson, UNC
F Brandon Costner, N.C. StateOut
G Greivis Vasquez, Maryland
F Gani Lawal, Georgia Tech
F Dwayne Collins, Miami
F Al-Farouq Aminu, Wake Forest
As J.P. Giglio rightly points out, Wake Forest is the one who gets completely screwed here though they did hang on to Al-Farouq Aminu. I am of the opinion losing James Johnson hurts more than losing Jeff Teague. Yes, losing both of them is going to knock the Deacs down a few pegs but had they at least held onto Johnson they may have done better on chemistry alone. Teague struck me as a head case and given to on-court pouting as observed by C.Michael during the ACC Tournament loss to Maryland.
Georgia Tech gets Gani Lawal back which means Paul Hewitt has a boatload of talent and not a clue what to do with it.
Oh. Joy. We get another season of Greivis Vasquez and his on-court antics. At least Marcus Ginyard will be back to shut his scrawny rear end down when UNC meets Maryland in 09-10.
