Andre McGee’s career just took another step forward, being named director of basketball operations at the University of Louisville.“Rick Pitino is a tough coach, and demanded that we play defense,” McGee once told Card Game. “I didn’t have a choice. If I wanted to play basketball, playing tough defense was my guarantee of playing time.“It was very personal for me. I just wanted to stay in the game at first. Then after a while, it became a point of pride. I wanted to be the best at what I did.”He replaces Mark Lieberman who joins Richard Pitino at Florida International University.
