TyShwan Edmondson scored a season-high 28 points and Austin Peay came from behind to defeat Rochester (Mich.) College 72-50 Saturday night on the strength of two huge second-half runs.
The Governors (3-9), coming off wins over Arkansas State and Tennessee, have won three straight after opening the season 0-9.
Edmondson shot 10 of 16 from the field, hitting 4 of 6 from long range.
The NAIA Warriors (9-7), who have lost six straight, jumped out to a 15-4 lead with 13:18 to go in the first half behind 12 points by Dramell Hogan, who finished with 18.
The Warriors led 29-25 at halftime, and built a seven-point cushion with 17:59 to play.
The Governors then used a 20-4 spurt, including a pair of 3-pointers by Edmondson, to lead 48-39 with 11:07 left.
After Rochester made it 48-44 with 9:28 to go, Austin Peay finished the game on a 24-6 run.
