Tyshwan Edmondson scored 24 points and Austin Peay won its season-best fifth in a row by defeating Eastern Illinois 76-64 on Saturday night. Edmondson converted four of his team's five 3-pointers and Jerome Clyburn sank 12 of 14 free throws and scored 18 points for the Governors (8-13, 5-3 Ohio Valley). Josh Terry added 11 points and Melvin Baker 10. Alfonzo McKinnie had a double-double for the Panthers (9-9, 2-4), who dropped their third in a row. He had 15 points and 14 rebounds. Eastern Illinois' Jeremy Granger hit double figures for the 16th time this season with 14 points, and L.C. Doss sank three 3-pointers in scoring 11. Austin Peay led 38-32 at the break and gradually pulled away in the second half. Eastern Illinois outrebounded the Governors 40-30.
