Jesse Berry scored 25 points and Jarrod Jones had 22 points and 13 rebounds Tuesday night to lead Ball State to its fifth straight win, 76-55 over Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
The Cardinals (5-2) used an 11-0 run to break from a 2-2 game and never trailed in the contest. They shot 52 percent in the first half to open a 38-24 halftime lead, and finished the game at 47 percent. Ball State's margin was in double digits throughout the second half and reached as high as 28 points.
Randy Davis had nine assists for Ball State.
Jerome Jones and Michael Messer scored 12 points each to lead the Cougars (1-6). Mark Yelovich added 10 points for Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
