Anthony Breeze scored 20 points and Bethune-Cookman exploited first-half turnovers on the way to a 67-55 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night. The Wildcats (9-12, 6-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) scored 18 points off 12 turnovers to take a 34-19 halftime lead over the Hawks (4-14, 1-4), who got no points off Bethune-Cookman's five first-half turnovers. After trailing by as many as 17 points in the second half, Maryland-Eastern Shore closed the gap. The Hawks cut their deficit to 46-40 at the 10-minute mark on a layup by Ronald Spencer, who scored 10 of his 12 points after halftime. Bethune-Cookman regained control with a 13-4 run over the next 4:48, pushing its lead to 59-44 after a steal by Breeze and a 3-pointer by Stanley Elliott. Ishaq Pitt scored 13 points, and Gregory Womack and Spencer had 12 each for Maryland-Eastern Shore.
