BU heads to the Final Four!

Yea, I know...NOT THAT FINAL FOUR. However, Boston pulled off a great win against Morehead State this evening 91-89 in overtime in the CBI Tournament. The big story was that fact that Corey Lowe did not participate in the game, as it was announced his career as a Terrier was over (more on that to come). The victory puts BU to 21-13 on the season. They will move on to the CBI semifinals. VCU and Princeton also pulled out victories early this evening. The final spot in the semifinals will go to either Green Bay or St. Louis.

Carlos Strong played an amazing game. He was 4 for 7 from three point range and 7 for 15 from the field. He finished with 22 points, five rebounds and three assists. Three players finished with 20 points or more in the victory. Fouls seemed to be the biggest difference in the game. The Terriers had 41 free throw attempts to Morehead State's 18. Holland, who was only 5 for 20 from the field, was 11 for 11 from the line.

Despite losing Lowe, Tyler Morris stepped up an played an unreal game. He was clearly the player of the game. He finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, seven assists. However, he also pulled off eight steals. A great game for a great player.

We are waiting to see who BU will play. The game will be played on Wednesday, we do know that. However, no matter what, it is a great accomplishment for the Terriers. Congrats boys!
