Cincinnati's 72-56 victory over Marshall was not pretty. It was a hard earned win on the road against a decent team. But the Bearcats were too good for Marshall and it showed in the second half. Cashmere Wright and Sean Kilpatrick hit a combined 5 three pointers in the second half, all in the last 13 minutes, to put the Thundering Herd away. Cincinnati was able to keep the Herd off the glass, 32.4% offensive rebounding percentage, and held the Herd to just 12 three point attempts. Marshall made 8 of them, but they made 5 in the first half. Having the attempts cut off made Marshall have to go inside on Cincinnati, and that's exactly what Cincinnati wants. Cincinnati forced 20 turnovers in the win.  The surprising player of the game was Shaquille Thomas. He scored 8 points and had 3 rebounds. He scored a key layup when Marshall was putting pressure on Cincinnati. Thomas is starting to put the pieces together. The more playing time he gets, the better he is going to be offensively.  Cincinnati is 10-0. We all know what's next.
