Kyle Randall scored 18 points to lead Central Michigan to a 92-80 victory over Texas State on Thursday night. John Simons had 17 points and six rebounds, and Austin Keel added 17 points. Blake Hibbitts had eight rebounds. Central Michigan (6-4) led 42-40 at halftime and had 27 points off Texas State turnovers. Central Michigan shot 53.7 percent from the field for the game, while Texas State (4-8) shot 50.8 percent. After being down by as many as nine in the second half, Texas State cut Central Michigan's lead to 83-78, with a 3-pointer from Vonn Jones, who had six assists. Randall made three free throws, and Chris Fowler made a layup with 48 seconds left to put Central Michigan up by 10. Joel Wright led the Bobcats with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Matt Staff had 18 points, Reid Koenen 12 and Corey Stern 10.
