After having arguably the best performance of his career, Louisville forward Chane Behanan is expected to miss the Cards Big East opener against Providence tomorrow night.
Coach Pitino told the media earlier this afternoon that Behanan, along with redshirt freshman Mangok Mathiang are battling the flu. “We’re a little under the weather right now, and our practices have not been good,” he said. “I hope it’s not a long bug.”
Behanan had 20 points and 7 rebounds against Kentucky on Saturday. He is averaging 11.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season. Freshman Montrezl Harrell is expected to start in his place.

Charlie Strong led his Louisville team to a very convincing 33-23 win over Florida in the BCS Sugar Bowl on Wednesday night, and everyone wanted to give their congrats to Charlie. Following the game the Florida state trooper who was escorting Florida coach Will Muschamp to mid-field slyly gave Charlie a dap. You have to love it.

I’m honestly at a loss for words. I thought the Cards had a chance, but what we saw tonight isn’t at all what I expected to see. Louisville was clearly the best team on the field and it really wasn’t close. Charlie Strong’s team was prepared and executed the game plan flawlessly.
