Tonight’s Louisville – Cincinnati game is big for both programs. Cincinnati needs a win over an elite team to prove that they’re as good as some projected they’d be prior to the start of the season. Mick Cronin’s team looked like one of the best in the league earlier in the year, but has slumped for the last half of the season. Louisville needs to continue to pile on quality wins to their resume. A loss here would be a definite setback for the Cards, considering the win over Syracuse on Saturday. Here are some positives & negatives about tonight’s match-up. Positives: Cincinnati is short handed: The Bearcats will likely be without forward Justin Jackson tonight. The 6-foot-8 junior forward is suffering from a minor ankle injury and isn’t expected to play tonight. Jackson plays 20 minutes per game for the Bearcats and is usually one of the first off the bench for Mick Cronin. Depth Advantage: Cincinnati isn’t exactly what you’d call a deep team. They have guys that come off of th...
