Found February 10, 2013 on Awful Announcing:
If you're familiar with these parts, you'll know CBS college basketball analyst Clark Kellogg is the king of bizarre analogies.  That's not to say Kellogg is a bad announcer, far from it.  It's just that he uses some really unique phraseology when calling a game.  Realllllllllllllly unique phraseology. Usually, Clark's analogies of choice involve food - the basketball is never a basketball, it's either a "pumpkin" or an "orange."  Players don't foul out, they're "Dairy Queen'd."  Don't think Clark is one dimensional though - a multi-dimensional player can be an "Allen Wrench."  Earlier this year he even tried to introduce the word "gracile" to the basketball lexicon. Today in Columbus though, Kellogg took his analogy game to... well, I don't even know how to describe where this is in the announcing lexicon.  Just wait till you hear how he described Indiana star Victor Oladipo throwing it down on the Buckeyes... “I tell you what, Victor Oladipo is like a baby’s bottom, smooth and SOMETIMES… EXPLOSIVE!” Yep, that's a college basketball analyst comparing a player to a pooping baby. The crazy thing is, it's actually a compliment. Video via Big Ten Network

Clark Kellogg on Oladipo: “Like a baby’s bottom, smooth and sometimes explosive”

Clark Kellogg isn’t one to shy away from anything in his analysis of a basketball game. When Indiana traveled to Columbus on Sunday to take on Ohio State, Kellogg looked to infant anatomy to describe Victor Oladipo’s game.Oladipo is having a heck of year and climbing up NBA Draft boards. A front-runner (with Trey Burke) for B1G Player of the Year, Oladipo can take over a game...

HD Video: Oladipo, Zeller react to win at Ohio State

No. 1 Indiana wins at No. 10 Ohio St.

Victor Oladipo scored a career-high 26 points, Cody Zeller added 24 and Christian Watford 20 to lead No. 1 Indiana back from a demoralizing loss to a huge road win in beating No. 10 Ohio State 81-68 on Sunday. The Hoosiers (21-3, 9-3 Big Ten), who dominated the second half, were coming off a stunning collapse that might have caused the undoing of many teams. On Thursday night at...

Silencing the critics: Hoosiers beat top-10 team on the road

In the days following Indiana’s shocking loss at Illinois on Thursday night, Tom Crean spent a good amount of time trying to teach his team how to close out games. The Hoosiers had squandered a late lead against the Illini, and left Champaign with a heartbreaking buzzer-beating loss. Crean showed his team film of the last five minutes of several games this season in which the Hoosiers...

'Canes reach highest ranking ever in AP poll

Indiana remains at No. 1 in The Associated Press' Top 25 despite losing a game this week, surviving a week of upsets to become the first team in over a month to hold onto the top ranking. The Hoosiers (21-3) lost to Illinois on a last-second basket Thursday but rebounded with a win at Ohio State on Sunday. In a week when four of the top five teams and six of the top 10 lost,...

Hoosiers make huge statement vs. Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio - No. 1 keeps falling. Crazy upsets keep happening. It's been that kind of college basketball season; by now, it's more than a trend. The thought, though, that there's no clear-cut best team right now, five weeks from Selection Sunday? Indiana strongly stated its argument against that theory on Sunday. More accurately, what No. 1 Indiana did is bully...

Indiana vs. Ohio State: By The Numbers

On December 5th, 2000, the Indiana Hoosiers traveled to South Bend to face a 10th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish team, and won handily, 86-78. Surprisingly, it wouldn’t be until more than 12 years later before the Hoosiers would go on the road and beat another top 10 team. On Sunday, it was the work of Indiana’s starting frontcourt (our ‘Big Three’), which quite arguably...

IU at Ohio State Postgame Show

It was another milestone victory for the Tom Crean era at Indiana. Crean’s Hoosiers have made amazing strides since he took over, but no Crean team – and no IU team at all since 1993 – had beaten a top 10 team on the road. That came to an emphatic end today in Columbus, Ohio. Victor Oladipo, Cody Zeller, and Christian Watford all played like NBA players today, each scoring...

After loss at Illinois, Hoosiers prepare for another road test at Ohio State

Two days after Indiana’s disappointing loss at Illinois, Tom Crean still felt like his team had wasted a great opportunity for a conference road win. But Crean knew it was important for his team to immediately shift its focus to Sunday’s opponent, Ohio State. The No. 1 Hoosiers practiced longer than usual on Friday and also had a lengthy team meeting to discuss what went wrong...
