Anthony Raffa scored 26 points and Coastal Carolina broke open a tight game in the second half to trounce Lynchburg College 86-61 Friday night. The Chanticleers (9-1), playing their first game after a 10-day layoff, led 45-40 at intermission. But they dominated the Division III Hornets (7-4) in the second half, outscoring them 41-21. Raffa and Chris Gradnigo (18 points, nine rebounds) combined for the Chanticleers' first 15 points and 20 of their first 21. They led by as many as 15 points, but a Lynchburg surge late in the first half and poor foul shooting by Coastal Carolina kept it close at halftime. The Chanticleers hit 6 of 15 from the line. With Michael Wims scoring 12 of his 16 points, Lynchburg trailed by five at halftime. But the taller Chanticleers dominated thereafter. They shot 55.9 percent from the floor in the second half, making 17 of 30 shots.
