It’s no secret that the Maryland Terrapins are one of John Calipari’s and the Kentucky Wildcat’s biggest competition for a couple of the “crown jewels” of the 2013 recruiting class: the Harrison Twins.  A couple of months ago, the Terps were said to be “all in” on the pursuit of  Andrew and Aaron Harrison when 2013 PG Nate Britt committed to North Carolina in November.  Now, it seems that things may have changed a bit with the news that Jamal Branch is transferring from Texas A&M.  Branch, who will be eligible to play in 2013, will visit Maryland next weekend.  If Branch chooses the Terrapins, a Maryland site sees that as “waving the white flag” on the Harrison twins as it is unlikely they would still consider Kentucky wiwth one top level PG already committed to the Terps.  Of course, Kentucky still needs to beat out Arizona, amoung others for the Harrisons, but the Jamal Branch situation is one to keep an eye on.

John Calipari thinks Kentucky Wildcats will be improved on the road

All eyes are on John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats tonight as they take to the road to face the Auburn Tigers.  The Tigers are 9-0 at home this year and 10-5 overall.  Granted, all of the wins are against cupcakes and the Tigers are coming off a 30 point rout at the hands of Vanderbilt.  But a road game is a road game.  And John Calipari is just 11-10 in true road games...

#2 Kentucky Wildcats roll past South Carolina Gamecocks 79-64

Maryland Comes Up Short Against NC State

For large stretches of the game, the Terps played a disjointed, frustrating style. Stoglin was his usual beast self and kept us in the game. It was only at the end of the game did he start jacking up shots outside of the offense. Padgett showed flashes, Len did too but there just was not enough firepower coming from inside the paint. Padge has worked hard on developing his...

Previewing Maryland

NC State (11-4) begins conference play today with a home matchup against Maryland (10-3). The Terps are led by star sophomore guard Terrell Stoglin, one of the top scorers in the country.

Watching This Weekend's two televised Maryland games, we had to wonder if the Terps were trying to add an Emmy to their trophy collection, alongside their Natty. After Friday's unbelievable comeback win over Georgia Tech, the BCs were expecting something today . . . well . . . less dramatic. We were wrong. A day-and-a-half after that big win, the Terps won another one . ....
