The hot rivalry between Detroit Mercy and Valparaiso continued Thursday night at Calihan Hall on UDM’s campus.  The game included a blown 22-point lead by Detroit, a few showtime dunks by the Titans’ Doug Anderson and a incredibly dirty foul by Valpo’s by Bobby Capobianco that sent him to the showers early. Anderson picked a Valpo player’s dribble at half court mid-way through the second half and was sizing up a windmill jam when Capobianco came from behind with a clothesline type move right out of WWE.  After a brief review at the monitor, officials quickly tossed him.  It was pure thuggery and got the attention of everyone at Calihan Hall, including veteran ball boy Trey. Trey has been a ball boy/floor mopper-upper for a couple years now and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to taunt Capobianco as he was escorted out of the gym. Well job, young man.  You deserve a boost in your allowance. Valpo came back to win the game 89-88, but Trey certainly won the night. Chest bump to AI

Valpo was down 50-32 at halftime and was in the midst of a furious...
