According to the FoxSports Community, West Virginia University sophomore forward Devin Ebanks will declare himself for the NBA draft.
This past season, he averaged 12 points/game, 2.1 assists/game, and struggled dearly at the 3 point line (.100). His overall shooting percentage was .457, with his free throw percentage at .770.
He hasn’t decided whether or not to hire an agent, which is very important here. If he hires an agent, he will not be eligible to return to WVU, regardless of his draft status. But, if he doesn’t, he can return to WVU if he doesn’t want to play for the team that drafted him, or if he goes undrafted.
While we’re disappointed personally to see Ebanks declare himself for the draft, we wish him the best of luck in his NBA career. An announcement from Ebanks is expected later today, and we’ll have coverage of that announcement.
