((HT: WBNG-TV Binghamton))Former Binghamton University basketball standout D.J. Rivera has pleaded guilty to one felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Rivera admitted in Broome County ((NY)) Court that he used a debit card that another student lost at a party in 2009 to buy a television, underwear, socks, and cigars at a local Wal-Mart. He is due back in court May 5th and will be sentenced to interim probation for nine months. He also has to pay back $374 to the victim in the case. Broome County DA Mark Rappaport says if Rivera stays out of trouble while he's on probation, he'll be allowed to return to court and plead guilty to a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of stolen property.
