The good folks at Larry Brown Sports noticed something was a bit off when Stan Verrett was doing the Top 10 plays on SportsCenter last night.  What was off?  Well, the fact that he possibly could have dropped the N word while describing a Stanford basketball highlight where Gabriel Harris nails a 65 footer is a start.  In my long sports watching career I have never seen this happen and I’m amazed it flew under the radar for the past 12 hours.  I don’t think that Stan would have made this error and as Jared Morris of “Midwest Sports Fans” points out, Stan most likely said “time, distance, neither was a problem,” which in this context would make perfect sense.  Either Stan needs to work on his pronunciation, or he made a big boo boo.   Click here to view the embedded video.
