Pistons take Andre Drummond with 9th pick

AUBURN HILLS -- It happened with Greg Monroe and Brandon Knight. It happened again with Andre Drummond. For the third year in a row, the Pistons have gotten a first round pick that they didn't expect to get. This time, it is the seven-foot center from Connecticut that has wowed people with his potential. At just 18 years old, Drummond is a long way from a finished product, but...

The Pistons take the the player with the most upside Grade B-

This pick is all about potential. Andre Drummond graduated a year early from high school to play and UConn last season. So he is still learning the game. Drummond already has an NBA type body with elite athleticism. He is a force on the defensive end and he can block shots. He can move real well for a big man. There is no question that he has to get better on the offensive...

The NBA Draft Blog Scouting Report looks at one of the more difficult players to make sense of in this year’s draft – Connecticut’s Jeremy Lamb.  At times, Lamb looks like an unstoppable scorer and at others, he doesn’t look for his shot.  He has the ability to score in a variety of ways, and has also shown to be a decent defender.  Will Lamb’s passive attitude cause...

HOUSTON (AP) -- The Houston Rockets have taken Connecticut guard Jeremy Lamb at No. 12 in the NBA draft, a pick they nabbed in a trade with Milwaukee this week. He averaged 17.7 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Huskies last year and became just the sixth sophomore in Connecticut history to score 1,000 career points...

Jeremy Lamb Scouting Report

Jeremy Lamb, SG Connecticut Scouting Report http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMFTEiej0mY Cole’s Take: First off, let’s pay homage to arguably the dunk of the year above.  Thanks for that gem, Jeremy. Jeremy Lamb is somewhat of an enigma.  He flourished next to Kemba during his freshman year but couldn’t carry the load on last year’s dysfunctional train-wreck of a first round...

Houston Rockets take Jeremy Lamb with the 12th pick overall Grade B

The Houston Rockets need some help on the wing and the pick of Jeremy Lamb makes sense. Chase Budinger was traded away so Lamb fits a need right away. Lamb emerged as a true superstar; a year ago after he and Kemba Walker led UConn to the national title. Lamb has very good size and length for a shooting guard, but he really needs to add some weight. Lamb is a great...

Don’t do it Rip City The Portland Trail Blazers  will have two lottery picks in this week’s NBA draft, and while the potential is there in every prospect, there are a handful of players the team must avoid with the No. 6 and No. 11 picks. Jeremy Lamb Jeremy Lamb has the ability to be a great scorer, but questions surrounding his motor make him a big-time question mark. Lamb...

Bucks bring in Lamb, Ross for workout

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. There's no doubt Milwaukee Bucks guards Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis comprise one of the best or at least quickest backcourts in the NBA. But, in a pattern true to most other positions on Milwaukee's roster, that talented backcourt is also one of the smallest in the NBA, boasting a 6-2 average height and a an average weight of 177. So with the NBA...

Cleveland Cavaliers 2012 “Dream Draft”

Follow @ClevelandDTR By: Eric Grinnell The NBA Draft is tonight, and the last draft-related thing I wanted to do was to make a Cleveland Cavaliers “dream draft.”  Although I highly doubt the night will play out this way, this would be my favorite scenario for the Cavs. 1st Round, Pick #4 – Thomas Robinson, PF Kansas It’s sounding more and more likely that Robinson will...
