Duke is still reeling from their blowout loss below, and have a lot of questions to answer moving forward with just 13 games remaining in the regular season. They did not, however practice late into the night/early morning as was reported (joked about) yesterday. With the Blue Devils’ recent struggles, Mason Plumlee has also begun to slip in Player of the Year voting, as chronicled below. As I said in the story, the reason for the loss was simple: Miami hit a lot of shots. Duke didn’t. On a basic level, ...

Mason Plumlee With Huge Reverse Dunk (Video)

We can safely say that Duke was pretty mad after their 90-63 loss to Miami earlier this week.  Coach K apparently kept the players up until 1:30 am practicing as punishment.  They bounced back today though to beat Maryland by 20 points.  Big man Mason Plumlee had 19 points, and none were better than this reverse put back dunk with three minutes to go in the game.  Very well could...

Duke’s Mason Plumlee, Maryland’s Alex Len Add Excitement to Blowout With Electrifying Dunks (Video)

What could liven up the 84-64 beatdown No. 1 Duke put on Maryland on Saturday? How about a pair of dunk-of-the-year candidates? Sophomore Alex Len gave the visiting Terrapins an early boost with a follow-through reverse jam five minutes into the game, but Blue Devils senior standout Mason Plumlee did Len one better 25 minutes later, turning Quinn Cook’s missed layup into a thunderous...

Four Duke players among plus/minus leaders in conference play

While the ACC season is young, and Duke has played less than a quarter of its games, the Blue Devils are going through a huge transformation right now so its appropriate to point out any impressive number the players on the team are putting up right now. Duke suffered its first loss to NC State during this stretch, so I didn’t expect the numbers to be this good, but four Blue Devils...
