By Duke Of Hoops – While Duke is two games into its “new season” of ACC play, tomorrow’s game against NC State begins an entirely new stretch of games, those without senior forward and co-captain Ryan Kelly. Duke has stated that Kelly will be out indefinitely while reports state that he will miss anywhere from two to four weeks. Regardless, the team will have to figure out a way to replace its best three-point shooter and best defender. A rotating cast of players – Josh Hairston, Amile Jefferson, Alex Murphy and Marshall Plumlee – will be forced into much larger roles than they’re used to playing. Coming against the 20th-best team in the country, they don’t have any time for adjustment. Whether the trial by fire goes smoothly tomorrow or night, all four will be better able to handle big games in the spring due to Kelly missing time now.
