Former Cardinal greats Edgar Sosa and Francisco Garcia will both play for the Dominican Republic National team, which is coached by the enemy, John Calipari.
Although it’s awesome to see two former Louisville players having the opportunity to represent their country, it really sucks that they will be coached by Calipari. Garcia has participated with the Dominican Republic National team for a few years now, while Sosa has played with the Junior National Team.
Garcia has publicly expressed his excitement to have Calipari as his coach…We will pretend like we never heard that Cisco.
The Dominican Republic could put together a pretty solid team with guys like Al Horford, Charlie Villanueva, Luis Flores, and Trevor Ariza possibly participating.
