The Xavier Musketeers have had a tumultuous season to say the least. They came out of the gate 8-0 with wins over Vanderbilt, Georgia, Purdue and Cincinnati. A brawl against the Bearcats sent Tu Holloway, Mark Lyons, Dez Wells and the winning streak to the bench. Xavier got blown out against Oral Roberts at home, dominated by Long Beach State and upset by horrible Hawaii before getting a win over Southern Illinois in the Diamondhead Classic. Back on the mainland, Xavier dropped games against Gonzaga and LaSalle to dropping them to 9-5. Xavier has run off 4 straight, but the question many want to know is if Xavier has turned the corner for good. The first thing that catches the wandering eye when you look at the Xavier stat sheet are the points given up in the games before and after the suspensions. Second half run propels Xavier over St. Joe's

In the span of just over 3 minutes, the Xavier Musketeers showed why they are the team to beat in the Atlantic 10. Down 43-37 to the visiting St. Joe's Hawks, Xavier put the throttle down on both sides of the ball, scoring 14 unanswered points to turn that 6 point deficit into an 8 point advantage, and paving the way for them to cruise to an eventual 68-55 win.
