With Lamb slumping, the Huskies lost the two games to Pittsburgh and Notre Dame when in either case—especially against Notre Dame—one more scorer could’ve propelled the Huskies to a victory. Napier and Smith at least played well against the Irish, but getting little contribution from the starting shooting guard didn’t help. Lamb combined for just seventeen points in those two games.
