Warren had 21 points to lead No. 6 North Carolina State to a win over UMass at the Puerto Rico Tipoff on Friday.Richard Howell added 19 points and nine rebounds and Lorenzo Brown had 11 points and 10 assists for the Wolfpack, who had five players score in double figures and shot 8 for 18 from 3-point range. Recap.#11 NORTH CAROLINA 78, Long Beach State 63 - James Michael McAdoo scored 18 points and Marcus Paige added 15 to help 11th-ranked North Carolina beat Long Beach State Friday night.McAdoo scored 12 points in the second half and finished with eight rebounds as the Tar Heels ended Long Beach State's 23-game home winning streak in front of a record crowd of 6,912 at the Walter Pyramid.The Tar Heels got hot from three-point range during an 18-6 run midway through the second half to pull away. P.J. Hairston had 14 points in a reserve role and Brice Johnson came off the bench and had 10 points and seven rebounds.James Ennis led the 49ers with 18 points and Mike Caffey scored 14.  Recap.CLEMSON 72, Furman 55 - Clemson used a 16-1 spurt in the opening half to pull away in a road victory over Furman on Friday. It was the Tiger's first game ever played in Timmons Arena, which opened in 1998.Devin Booker led the Tigers with 15 points, despite playing only 23 minutes due to first-half foul trouble. K.J. McDaniels added 11 and went 7-of-8 from the free throw line. In all, nine players scored for the Tigers. Damarcus Harrison scored eight of his 10 points in the second half.  Stephen Croone led Furman with 15 points, while Bryant Irwin added 14 and Colin Reddick 13.   RecapFLORIDA STATE 88, BYU 70 - Okaro White scored 17 points and Florida State made 11 three-pointers in an victory over the Cougars in the Coaches vs, Cancer Classic semifinals on Friday night at the Barclays Center.The Seminoles came into the game shooting 38.5 percent from 3-point range but they made 11 of 20 as they led by as many as 27 points in the second half. They shot 58.0 percent (29 for 50) from the field overall while holding down a BYU offense that came in averaging 80.5 points per game.Tyler Haws had 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the BYU. Recap.MARYLAND 91, LIU Brooklyn 74 - Freshman guard Seth Allen scored 19 points, Alex Len had 18, and Maryland used its height and depth to wear down LIU Brooklyn Friday night.Nine players reached double figures in minutes for the Terrapins.  Recap.MIAMI 73, Jacksonville 57 - Shane Larkin scored 21 of his career-high 27 points in the second half to lead the Miami over Jacksonville.Julian Gamble scored 13 points and Trey McKinney-Jones chipped in 11 for Miami, which bounced back after losing 63-51 to Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday.Miami shot 59 percent (23 for 39) while holding Jacksonville to 40 percent shooting (20 for 50). Recap.#23 Connecticut 77, WAKE FOREST 71 - No. 23-ranked Connecticut used a 12-0 run midway through the second half to erase a Wake Forest lead Friday evening at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center on the island of St. Thomas.Wake Forest had battled back from a 46-40 deficit with a 10-0 run that was capped by consecutive 3-pointers from Travis McKie and Arnaud William Adala Moto.With the Deacons leading 52-49 after a pair of Tyler Cavanaugh free throws at the 10:14 mark, the Huskies scored 12 straight points, 10 of which came from Shabazz Napier, to take a 61-52 lead with under eight minutes to play. Dayton 87, BOSTON COLLEGE 71 - Freshman Joe Rahon led Boston College with 16 points but the Eagles lost to Dayton, 87-71, in front of 3,177 fans Friday afternoon at TD Arena.Rahon went 5-for-9 from the field and added four assists and a steal. Sophomore Ryan Anderson recorded 14 points, eight rebounds and three assists, and classmate Patrick Heckmann hit three 3-pointers and notched 13 points. Recap.
