Miami is coming off an impressive win against Charlotte and travels to UCF for a what should be a tough matchup. UCF shoots it well ranking 10th in the nation in eFG%. They are actually quite an odd team. While they are a good 3 point shooting team at 40%, a great 2 point shooting team at 56%, they are a very poor free throw shooting team at 62%. On top of that they get to the FT line at a high rate. UCF plays a rather slow tempo but turns it over at a very high rate of 24% of possessions.
Miami will be tested in a true road game, one that should prepare the Hurricanes for conference play quite well. The Hurricanes are the more talented team and if previous trends continue, Miami should win a close one.

As the season approached, UCF coach Donnie Jones talked about how a difficult regular season schedule was important in showcasing the program the Knights were building.
With a postseason ban this season due to NCAA sanctions, playing tough opponents was an opportunity for older players, like senior Keith Clanton, to get important exposure, and for an otherwise very young roster to get acclimated to top competition.
