The Badgers (8-4) came out strong against UW Milwaukee (3-10) and downed the Panthers 74-53 at the Kohl Center Saturday night. With the win, Wisconsin extended their win streak against UWM to 20 games.
It was an encouraging night offensively for the Badgers, who seemed to silence Milwaukee’s early momentum with some easy baskets from inside. Bo Ryan must have put an emphasis...
Wisconsin Badgers football will be all about the kids under Coach Andersen
Wisconsin welcomed it's 29th football head coach to the fold as Gary Andersen was formally introduced to the public at a press conference on Friday. It became abundantly clear on Friday that coach Andersen will be a players coach and for him "it's all about the kids." Thankfully at Wisconsin it has been all about the kids since the days of Barry Alvarez on the sidelines...
After two months out, Stave itching to play
MADISON, Wis. Somewhere in Joel Stave's apartment, a hamper is filled with old T-shirts missing left sleeves, scissors having sheared off everything down to the hip. This is no fashion statement from Wisconsin's redshirt freshman quarterback. It was done out of necessity and comfort for the good of his aching collarbone.Stave broke his left collarbone during a game against...
Badgers like what they see from Andersen
MADISON, Wis. Gary Andersen had been in town less than 24 hours when he began arranging meetings to speak with members of Wisconsin's football team Thursday. But on his first day as the Badgers' new coach, he wasn't interested in talking much about X's and O's.
He simply wanted to introduce himself, to give players his phone number and to let them know he was...

One could argue that 2012 was the year of the improbable for the Wisconsin Badgers football team more so than just about any other season in recent memory. It really all started with our No. 8 story from yesterday...

Evans breaks out of slump against Milwaukee
MADISON, Wis. On the basketball court this season, Ryan Evans has looked like his usual self in many respects the same high-top fade, the same laser-trajectory jump shots and the same quiet leader who wants to prove himself on the big stage. But something so obviously was not the same. Not through the first 10 games, anyway, when he resembled little of the player that was supposed...
