Gatens, Cartwright to Play on All-Star Team

IOWA MEN’S BASKETBALL GATENS AND CARTWRIGHT TO PLAY ON ALL-STAR TEAM IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa seniors-to-be Bryce Cartwright and Matt Gatens have accepted invitations to participate and represent the United States on an East Coast All-Star Team that will compete in the Four Nations Cup held in Tallinn, Estonia in August. Cartwright (6-1, 180) and Gatens (6-5, 215) will depart for in late July for Williamsport, Pa. for a two-day training camp July 31-Aug. 1. After spending the second of August traveling to Estonia, the team will have an opportunity to go on a sightseeing tour on Aug. 3. “I’m really excited about this opportunity,” said Cartwright. “I get to practice and play with some of the best players in the country.
