George Mason’s Sneaky Back-Pass Dunk

Last week during George Mason-James Madison, ESPNU color guy Dickey Simpkins kept describing Luke Hancock as “deceptively athletic” and such. At the time I thought this was code for “white”, but Hancock’s a sneaky son of a bitch after all: Mason hung on to beat William & Mary as Hancock scored 17 on just eight shots. It’s unclear to me whether or not the back-pass dunk was counted as one of his four assists. In today’s other DMV college hoops action, Georgetown did what Maryland could not — hang on to win at Villanova, thus clinching the A-11’s top spot from here to eternity.
