Greetings- Hope you’re feeling zesty for the 1 p.m. tipoff between Georgia Tech and Boston College, two teams that are on a combined 11-game losing streak. I imagine both teams are looking at each other the way that hungry cartoon animals look at each other and imagine a turkey drumstick. That never gets old. Anyway, a few points of note. 1. It appears guard Glen Rice Jr. (toe) will play but won’t start. He took part in warmups. 2. In ACC play, Boston College is the lowest-scoring team in the league, averaging 56.5 points per game. Tech is eighth, at 61.2 ppg. The Eagles, though, like to put up 3-pointers, which has not been a great strength for Tech. Boston College averages 20.3 3-point tries per game in ACC play, making 6.6. Tech is last in the league at 3-point field goal defense at 46.2 percent. 3. These are the two worst free-throw shooting teams in the conference. Other than that, it should be an offensive bonanza.
