Georgia Tech Keeps Marcus Hunt In-State

Coaching in Georgia, like other states loaded with high school talent, makes it incumbent on head coaches to lock down their borders, and keep top prep talent in-state. Though former Dayton head coach Brian Gregory has only been on the job at Georgia Tech for several months, it appears that he’s taking that principal to heart. The Yellow Jackets landed their second Peach State prospect in the Class of 2012 yesterday, 6′-5″ wing Marcus Hunt of North Clayton (GA), as first reported by CourtCred.com. Hunt will join 6′-2″ combo guard Chris Bolden as pledges to Yellow Jackets so far in the recruiting cycle, which already doubles the addition for the 2011 class, Julian Royal. Both Bolden and Hunt are in-state standouts.
