6-2 shooting guard Jordan Smith will turn down a scholarship offer from Saint Louis and walk on with the Badgers, Madison.com’s Rob Schultz reported Wednesday. Smith was all set to walk on with the Badgers before receiving a call from Butler coach Brad Stevens and Saint Louis coach Rick Majerus a few weeks ago. Smith told Schultz the calls made him rethink his decision, but not change his mind. Smith adds to an already sizable group of new players that will begin their careers at UW this fall. Center Frank Ciminski, power forward Jarrod Uthoff, shooting guard Traevon Jackson and point guard George Marshall are committed to Wisconsin and will receive scholarships. Additionally, power forward Zach Bohannon, younger brother of former Wisconsin guard Jason Bohannon, will walk on with the Badgers this winter after using his first two years of eligibility with the Air Force Academy.
