The college basketball league that produced the last two national runner-up teams, the Butler Bulldogs, is making a statement showing they’re at the forefront of communications technology. “Horizon League Network Live,” the conference’s newest mobile application, is now available in the iTunes App Store. As of now, the Horizon League is the only NCAA Division I conference in the country to offer its entire live video collection via a mobile application. I’m sure Brad Stevens, the face of the Midwestern hoops league, will download this app. For a one-time fee of just $1.99, the app can be downloaded to any iOS smart phone or tablet, with Android availability coming soon. It allows fans to watch any game carried live on the Horizon League Network along with on-demand features and highlights during the 2011-12 athletics season.
