DETROIT (AP) -- Chase Simon scored 16 points and Detroit defeated Wright State 69-53 on Saturday. Four Titans were in double figures. Ray McCallum had 13 points, Jason Calliste scored 12 and Evan Bruinsma finished with 10 points for Detroit (10-11, 4-5 Horizon League). Simon also had four assists and three steals. Wright State's only lead came in the first minute of the game. Detroit led 38-25 at halftime and by as many as 25 points in the second half. Detroit shot 50 percent from the field, including 45 percent from 3-point range, but made just 56 percent from the free-throw line. Cole Darling had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Raiders (9-12, 4-5), who connected on 40 percent of their field-goal attempts and just 50 percent of their free throws.
