Northern Illinois opens Mid-American Conference play on Saturday as the Huskies host Eastern Michigan at the NIU Convocation Center. NIU is coming off its first win of the season, a 72-46 win over Roosevelt on Jan. 2. The Huskies held Roosevelt to just eight points on 7.4 percent shooting in the second half en route to the 26-point victory. Antone Christian led the way with 14 points, one of four Huskies in double figures against the Lakers.
