TweetThe Iowa Hawkeye basketball team got their second straight conference road victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a game that would could come down to the wire.
Despite the missed free throws at the end of the game by the Hawkeyes, they still managed to hang on increasing their conference record to 2-1. For the first time since the 2006-07 the Iowa Hawkeyes have a winning record in conference play.
The Hawkeyes are getting outstanding play from both their veterans as well as their young players making this a very solid team.

The story of the game was the performance of Matt Gatens, who had one of his best games ever as a Hawkeye. With the Hawkeyes trailing 32-21 late in the first half, he made back-to-back 3-pointers and changed the momentum of the game.
