Hide the little ones for this unnerving report gentlemen as the following story contains NSFW language. Kansas picked up a controversial 108-96 overtime win at Iowa State on Monday in a tremendous game unfortunately marred by poor officiating and now ignorant ISU fans. Kansas point guard Elijah Johnson drew a reach-in foul on the Cyclones’ Georges Niang with five seconds remaining in regulation, moments after a questionable no charge call on Johnson’s hard drive to the bucket.  Johnson sank both free throws to tie the game before abusing ISU in overtime as he finished with a career-high 39 points. The last two of those 39 came after Johnson flew downcourt unguarded for an unnecessary, yet mildly amusing, one-handed hammer in the closing seconds of OT. Rousing boos filled Hilton Coliseum during postgame interviews as students began hurling items at Kansas players as they ran for the tunnel.  An idiotic fan even proceeded to confront Bill Self as he left the court. As reported by Bust...

Elijah Johnson erupted for 39 points in Kansas’ 108-96 overtime win over Iowa State Monday, and he apologized after the game for a poor show of sportsmanship. With his Jayhawks up by 10 and less than 10 seconds left, Johnson was passed the ball after Iowa State missed a three pointer. Instead of dribbling out the remaining seconds, Johnson decided to go the length of the court...

Iowa State Fan Drops Racial Slurs & Death Threats On Kansas Guard Elijah Johnson

Iowa State fans have not been taking last nights loss to Kansas very well. First we had the nut-job storm the court to confront KU coach Bill Self. Now, even worse, we’re seeing an ISU fan named  Stephen Koithan dropping death threats and racial slurs to star Kansas guard Elijah Johnson via a series of now deleted tweets. Johnson, who scored 39 points in the overtime win, was...

Iowa State Students Call KU Elijah Johnson a N*gger, Threatens His Life Via Twitter (Photo)

The slam at the end of Kansas’ overtime win over Iowa State by Elijah Johnson, probably wasn’t necessary and showed a bit of poor sportsmanship. Especially, considering there were some questionable calls that got the game into overtime in the first place. If ISU students wanted to troll Johnson about that, I wouldn’t have had any problems with that. What people are going to...

A Night To Remember

Throughout the course of the season, Kansas senior guard Elijah Johnson has gone through adversity. At times, he has struggled, drawing unwarranted criticism from many who praised him just one year ago.

Johnson leads No. 6 KU to OT win at Iowa State

AMES, Iowa (AP) -- Kansas coach Bill Self has 500 wins because Elijah Johnson "blacked out." That's the only way Johnson could describe one of the great performances by a Kansas player under Self. Johnson scored a career-high 39 points -- including eight in the final 29 seconds of regulation and 12 in overtime -- and No. 6 Kansas rallied to beat Iowa State 108-96...

Hey Iowa St. it’s okay to blame the officials

I’m tired of hearing the same old thing. “You can’t blame the officials for a loss.” Or here is my favorite, “it was a very good game on both sides and as with any game there were questionable calls for and against both sides; however, you can’t leave it up to or blame the officials. [...]

Refs block Iowa State's upset of Kansas

Kansas fans will tell you that the calls went the other way for the first 38 minutes, but what fan doesn't think their team got screwed in a college basketball game? Yes, there were some bad calls early, but it didn't seem unfair to me and I have no horse in this race. But late in the game there were three questionable calls (four if you count the phantom call on Kevin...

Gritty Jayhawks back in position to win Big 12

AMES, Iowa (AP) Nobody was thinking about coach Bill Self's 500th win or the Big 12 title when a loss to Oklahoma State kicked off a rare three-game slide for Kansas. The Jayhawks have responded with five straight victories, including Self's milestone win on Monday night. Now the conference crown that seemed out of reach is Kansas' to lose. Elijah Johnson scored a...
