Here at Bull City, we pride ourselves on giving love to the women’s basketball game. We respect the game, and we respect the artistry that women bring to the table when performing on the national stage. There is no mistaking the greatness of UConn’s women’s basketball. They are year in and year out, the class of the women’s college basketball scene. This year the huskies are lead by the same assassin Maya Moore who has led them to another unprecedented 36 wins this season on the way to capturing her 3rd Wade Trophy.

The Wade Trophy is an award that is given to the most outstanding player in women’s division 1 basketball. Moore is the first three-time winner of Wade Trophy. Moore has led the Huskies to four Final Four appearances and four Big East championships during her career.

Moore is averaging 23.4 points this season. She became the Huskies' all-time leading scorer season and is the seventh player in NCAA Division I women's basketball history to score at least 3,000 career points.

It appears that many think she may be the best player out there now including professional players. “She is the greatest women’s basketball player alive today,” Joanne P. McCallie, Duke’s coach, said before the 6-foot Moore, a senior and three-time national player of the year, delivered 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals Tuesday in the final of the Philadelphia Region.
