Louisiana Tech, Air Force, and Murray State all have added to their 2011 recruiting class.
Murray State who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season has picked up a verbal commitment from Zay Jackson. Jackson, a 5-foot-10 native of Louisiana currently attends Saint Thomas Aquinas H.S. (LA).

With Jackson on board for 2011, the Racers currently have two committed prospects for next season, as the point guard joins Jaylen Brand, a combo guard out of Georgia.

Alabama native Alex Carr has verbally committed to Louisiana Tech. Carr, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard out of Birmingham has offered his intentions to head to the WAC. Carr is described as a great shooter and a solid mid-major prospect who ultimately should help an improving program.

Daniel Grieves, a 6-foot-6 small forward continues the trend of the recently committed southern prospects. Grieves, a Mississippi native, can flat out score the basketball and should be able to excel at Air Force.

He led the state of Mississippi in scoring last year as a junior, and has had plenty of interest from area mid-major programs. Grieves decided to head to Air Force over the likes of Tulane, South Alabama, Arkansas State, and Southern Miss.

Grieves joins Max Yon and Cameron Michael among the Falcons' commits for next season.

On a side note, just five days after committing to the West Virginia, ESPNU Top 100 prospect Ryan Boatright has decomitted from the university. Boatright led a surge of recruits flooding to Morgantown this past week, but with this news it is a huge set back for WVU, as the stud point guard is considered the 36th best player in the class of 2011. Boatright has Providence, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Miami (FL) listed as the schools he is considering.
