Last year’s game against Arkansas was the turning point of the season. The loss to 16-10 Arkansas dropped Kentucky to 1-6 on the road in the SEC and was without a doubt the low point of the UK season. Out of that, Kentucky won 10 games in a row and did not lose again until the Final Four. This year could be a similar catharsis for the Wildcats. Kentucky is 3-0 in the season but have played sluggish and down to the level of their competition for the past several games. A team like Arkansas is going to test them and make them pay for a sluggish start. Simply put, Kentucky needs to play better or they could be looking at their first home “L” of the John Calipari era. And it needs to start now.
