Last year’s game against Arkansas was the turning point of the season. The loss to 16-10 Arkansas dropped Kentucky to 1-6 on the road in the SEC and was without a doubt the low point of the UK season. Out of that, Kentucky won 10 games in a row and did not lose again until the Final Four. This year could be a similar catharsis for the Wildcats. Kentucky is 3-0 in the season but have played sluggish and down to the level of their competition for the past several games. A team like Arkansas is going to test them and make them pay for a sluggish start.  Simply put, Kentucky needs to play better or they could be looking at their first home “L” of the John Calipari era.  And it needs to start now.

Buckeyes' Johnson to coach Arkansas LBs (AP)

Ohio State assistant football coach Taver Johnson has been hired to coach the linebackers at Arkansas. Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino announced the move Sunday and said Johnson would be an assistant head coach. Johnson spent five seasons with Ohio State, which compiled a 50-15 record during his tenure and won four Big Ten titles.
