Kentucky is taking its highlight show back to the Big Easy. With an NBA-like display from a young team filled with future pros, top-seeded Wildcats advanced to the Final Four for the second year in a row with a 82-70 blitzing of Baylor in the South Regional final on Sunday. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 19 points, Anthony Davis added 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Terrence Jones dazzled in all the overlooked areas, leading the Wildcats (36-2) to a Bluegrass showdown with rival Louisville in the national semifinals next Saturday at New Orleans. For all the hoopla sure to surround that game in the basketball-crazed state, Kentucky won't consider the season a success unless it wins two more games - culminating in a national title. This group sure has the look of a champion, shaking off an early blow by the Bears (30-8) - a very good team with a daring fashion sense that was simply no match for John Calipari's latest group of Fab Freshmen. Kentucky took control with an early...

Kidd-Gilchrist to enter NBA Draft

Multiple sources are reporting that the Wildcats freshman forward intends to forgo future campaigns at Kentucky in order move on to the NBA after just one year.

Mom: Kidd-Gilchrist not decided on draft

Kentucky star freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is widely projected to be selected as a top-five pick if he enters for the NBA Draft this year, but his mother said Thursday that her son had not made up his mind about leaving school. Citing multiple unidentified sources, ESPN reported Thursday that the Somerdale, N.J., native would announce he was entering the draft after Kentucky...

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Deserves Praise, Not Mockery, As He Battles Stutter In Public View

This is a simple point I’m going to make, so I’ll be brief with it. But it’s an important one, I think, so I’m not leaving it unsaid anymore. Over the weekend, I saw numerous blog and social media posts mocking Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s manner of speaking in press interviews. It immediately pissed me off, even before I did any digging into MKG’s background. First, it...

Kentucky returns to the Final Four for the 2nd year in a row

It looked like Baylor was going to give Kentucky all that it could handle 4 minutes into the game with 10-5 lead following at Quincy Miller’s three-point shot, but John Calipari called a timeout and implored his players to play their game and dominate. That is exactly what the Wildcats did as they ripped off an impressive 16-0 run and did not look back the rest of the way, closing...

Kentucky Looking for Long NCAA Tournament Run, But NBA Success Is Right Around Corner for Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats are a very good college basketball team. In fact, they're so good, that John Calipari's bunch has talent that some may think is already NBA-ready. Because of that, there is plenty of reason to believe that some UK players -- freshmen even -- will make the jump to the NBA following the college season. That's the way Kentucky continues to business...

Except for movie night, Calipari having a ball

John Calipari is having a ball. Well, except for movie night. The coach of top-seeded Kentucky has avoided watching other games during the NCAA tournament, and he wants his players to do the same. His message: Focus on us and don't worry about other teams. So far, it's working just fine. The Wildcats (35-2) are one win away from a return trip to the Final Four. They'...

John Calipari isn’t a fan of the ’21 Jump Street’ movie

John Calipari knows he isn’t a movie critic but when he was asked on Saturday to give an opinion on a movie he saw with his team on Thursday, he gave his honest opinion: it was “awful.” The culprit the evidently stunk up the movie theater? “21 Jump Street,” the Jonah Hill-Channing Tatum big screen comedy adaptation of the late 80′s, early 90′s network TV show. While...

NCAA Tournament Day 10 Features Kentucky, North Carolina Battling for Final Four Apperances

Two teams made their way to the Final Four on Saturday night, and two more will join them as the last two Elite Eight games take place Sunday afternoon. Three teams in action on Sunday are hoping to continue their long lasting legacies of excellence, while one program is trying to take the next step to win their first ever National Championship. Here are the games to look out for...

Indiana-Kentucky Sweet 16 Postgame Show

One of the most memorable seasons in my 20+ years as an avid Indiana basketball fan ended last night when the Hoosiers fell 102-90 to the Kentucky Wildcats. Kentucky has a more talented roster and they played better overall – especially on the glass and from the free throw line – so they deserved to win. Just as Indiana was the better team in December, Kentucky was the better...

Baylor basketball fan shows off some flamboyant dance moves (Video)

During the second half of Sunday's Elite Eight NCAA tournament basketball game between Baylor and Kentucky, one particular Baylor fan may have enjoying the game a little too much, based on his flamboyant dance moves that were caught on camera. Unfortunately, we don't have any footage from the end of the game to see how this fan reacted to Baylor losing the game to...

Gameday Preview: UK vs Baylor

It's gameday for the Wildcats. Kentucky Sports Report and FOXSportsNext have the latest breakdown of exactly what to expect from Sunday's match-up.

Quick Hits: Kentucky overpowers Indiana

March Madness gave the Georgia Dome a classic. It wasnt the traditional classic with teammates piling on top of Bryce Drew, but it was one that provided consistently high-quality, fast-paced action with storylines to spare. And in the end, Kentucky walked away with sweet revenge. The final score read 102-90. Coach John Caliparis face read: Thank goodness we dont have to play them...
