The North Carolina State Wolfpack (16-6, 5-4 ACC) are currently on a two-game losing streak and are facing another daunting task when they take on the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils (19-2, 6-2 ACC) on Thursday. NC State beat Duke 84-76 at home on Jan. 12, but one of the major reasons why was due to the stellar play of point guard Lorenzo Brown, whose status is still unknown for the battle on tobacco road this Thursday. Brown sprained his left ankle during last week’s loss at Virginia, and was forced to sit out of Saturday’s home loss to Miami. Both losses knocked the Wolfpack out of the top-25 for the first time this season. NC State head coach Mark Gottfried stated that he did not know if star point guard will be ready, which is a cause-for-concern for the Wolfpack heading into Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils are looking to avenge their loss, and if Brown does not suit up for the Wolfpack, many believe Duke will do just that. Brown has been averaging 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game this season.

New NC State coach unveils 1st recruiting class

''We look forward to selling (the program) for 12 months instead of six weeks...

Doeren pulls in solid initial N.C. State class

RALEIGH, NC -- Dave Doeren didn't have the luxury of showing recruits video of his North Carolina State Wolfpack in action hoping to woo them to his program. Having taken over the program in early December after Tom O'Brien was fired following a 7-6 season, Doeren faced an uphill climb that, at least on the recruiting front, ended Wednesday afternoon with the signing of...

Duke Morning F.I.S.T. – Beat NC State Edition

Duke’s first loss of the year came at the hands of NC State on January 12th. It was also the team’s first game without Ryan Kelly. Two games after that was Duke’s worst of the season as they suffered a demoralizing defeat at the hands of the now Top 10 Miami Hurricanes. Since then though, the Blue Devils seemed to have righted the ship while NC State has lost four of its last...
