Shaqquan Aaron, a 6-foot-8 combo guard from Seattle, WA., announced his decision tonight prior his Rainer Beach High School’s district title game.
Aaron chose Louisville over Arizona, UCLA and Washington. His commitment came less than two weeks after he made an official visit to Louisville.
One is confident that Rick Pitino will share with us someday soon what he told Kevin Ware when he reinstated him on the University of Louisville basketball team seven games ago.
Don’t want to second guess what he told the sophomore guard, but it may be working, certainly was Sunday.
UofL trailed 11-8 when he entered the game against South Florida at the 15:33. Ware would connect...
TAMPA, Fla. – University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino called Sunday’s 59-41 victory over South Florida one of his team’s best efforts of the season. Pitino was excited about the Cardinals’ focus on defense and passing and also encouraged by Russ Smith’s play. Here are some thoughts from the game:
Louisville is currently alone in second place in the Big East with a 9-4 record. Syracuse, Georgetown and Marquette are currently ahead of the Cards with a 9-3 record. Fortunately for Louisville, their remaining schedule appears to be slightly less tough than all three teams ahead of them in the standings. With Syracuse and Georgetown currently holding the tie breaker over Louisville...
TAMPA, Fla. - Sophomore guard Kevin Ware is starting to become a key role player for the University of Louisville men’s basketball team. Cardinal Authority has a story on Ware’s position change and his recent improvement.
It came out mid day yesterday that Rainier Beach (Seattle, Washington) guard/forward Shaqquan Aaron would verbally commit somewhere during the night. Aaron also had offers from Arizona, California, Colorado, and Arizona State. He was also gaining interest from Syracuse and UCLA. Many people felt confident that he was going to commit to Louisville because he had just came...
Charlie Strong has added another signee to his 2013 recruiting class. Stacy Thomas, a 6-foot-2 225-pound defensive end from signed with Louisville while on an official visit to the school this weekend.
Thomas, a Miami, FL., native is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN. He played defensive end, linebacker and tight end at Gulliver Prep School. Thomas is the 17th member of Louisville’s...
For a change, the Louisville basketball team got down in Tampa almost 2 days early and it ended up working out for them. The Cardinals steam-rolled USF to the tune of an 18 point victory.
Peyton Siva got hot at the end of last year and he is starting to get into that form once again. Even though Siva’s 2 points don’t seem all to to impressive, his 7 assist and 6 rebounds...
VillenHD made his rivalry week return with a nice mix from Louisville’s win at South Florida on Sunday. Louisville may have had more dunks against South Florida than any other game this season. Make sure you watch at the very end when Rick Pitino is shown shaking hands with the USF mascot and telling him good game.

University of Louisville men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino said on Thursday night after a win over St. John’s that he has to get junior center Gorgui Dieng more rest. Cardinal Authority has what Pitino said and the reaction from Dieng.
Never any doubt, a leisurely win on a quiet Sunday afternoon, the University of Louisville taking out South Florida 59-41.
Confirmation, perhaps, that Rick Pitino’s troops aren’t taking any opponent lightly, picking up a second win in the string of seven, the ultimate goal of the coach in finishing out the regular season. Aware maybe that second place Georgetown had lost in...
