That wasn’t a pretty performance overall, but at this point, I’ll take it. I mocked Coach Pitino when he said free throws were the reason Louisville lost to Georgetown and Notre Dame. Although those weren’t two of the best games for the Cards this season, he is right. Free throw shooting down the stretch dictates wins and losses. That appeared to be the case tonight. The Cards were 24-34 from the line, making 10 of 12 in the final four minutes. I thought tonight was one of the poorest officiated games I’ve seen all season. There was no consistency on either side the entire night. Had Chane Behanan played more than 18 minutes, he may have posted career high’s in both rebounds and points. In limited action the 5-star freshman scored 14 points and grabbed 7 boards. He has really taken his game to another level over the past two games. Peyton Siva seems to have turned the corner.
