On Wednesday morning, Louisville Cardinals head coach Rick Pitino announced that the team will wear the below warm-ups before its Final Four match-up with Wichita State this weekend to honor their fallen comrade, Kevin Ware. Above is the new Twitter avatar that Kevin Ware recently uploaded to show support for his teammates as they embark on their journey to a National Championship, unfortunately without their absent-but-not-forgotten teammate. The warmups, which bear the message, “All in for #5,” (No. 5 being Ware’s jersey number, of course), is a touching tribute to the young man. And when the team steps on to the court this weekend wearing these warm-ups, it surely will be a powerful moment for Louisville fans and college basketball fans alike: Awesome.
